The Catawba County District Attorney’s Office donated school supplies to the Women of Warriors organization as a service project. The supplies will be distributed to children whose parents serve in the National Guard. Women of Warriors (WOW) was created as a local peer support network formed by military veterans’ wives to build sisterly bonds, address the unique impacts of military family life and combat isolation. WOW offers regular gatherings and mutual encouragement to help wives navigate the stresses tied to military service and post-service transition.
