October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In recognition of the designation and to show support for preventing domestic violence, members of the Catawba County District Attorney’s Office donned purple clothing on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. October first was declared as national Domestic Violence Awareness Month in 1989. Since then, October has been a time to acknowledge domestic violence survivors and be a voice for its victims.
