April is designated as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and promote prevention efforts. Friday, April 4, 2025, was “Wear Blue Day” to show support for preventing child abuse and neglect. By wearing blue, individuals demonstrated their commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for children and to preventing child abuse. Members of the Catawba County District Attorney’s Office donned blue apparel to show their support in efforts to prevent child abuse. A simple choice can spark conversations, raise awareness and remind the community that every child deserves a safe and happy childhood.
