Marsha Kay Glazebrook, 35, of Newton, was sentenced to serve six to eight years in prison following her conviction for trafficking methamphetamine during Catawba County Superior Court on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
The Honorable Karen Eady-Williams, Superior Court Judge from Mecklenburg County, imposed terms of the active sentence after Glazebrook entered the guilty plea.
The defendant also will be required to pay a mandatory fine of $50,000.
Glazebrook will serve her period of incarceration in custody of the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections.
During service of an arrest warrant for Glazebrook at an apartment on April 24, 2023, Newton officers saw a meth pipe and a purse. A search of the purse turned up a trafficking amount of methamphetamine.
The defendant took responsibility for the purse but only some of the methamphetamine.
